Uni-Norths Owls Juniors have hosted the Canberra Junior 7s tournament for over 15 years. The tournament has become the traditional way to wrap up the season for many clubs.

2019 saw around 1,000 kids from u8s to u16s enjoying a great day for rugby at Southwell Park, Lyneham. We were very happy to offer girls u14 and u16 for the first time. More than half our teams were from outside the ACT. The feedback from all participants was extremely positive:

A BIG THANK YOU to Owls Rugby for hosting the Canberra 7s.  The Maroubra u12s had a fantastic time – won a few , lost a few and rugby was the winner!!!  Well done on a great event – really well organised.   We will definitely be recommending the Canberra 7s to our other teams.

Many thanks for organising such a well-run event. Everyone from our club had a wonderful time, and as you said – it’s a great way to finish off the season with a fun, social weekend away.

Registration Fee: $250 per  team (2019 was $220)

Divisions: 

  Mixed: u8, u9, u10, u11, u12

  Boys:  u13, u14  Girls: u14, u16

We expect to open registration on early to mid July and will send out  entry details at least a week or so before this date. Numbers per division are strictly limited (12 teams for all divisions except girls u14 and u16 which will be 7). Registrations are on a first in, best dressed basis.

Canberra Park is our official accommodation partner for the event. It's a great, affordable venue for teams very  close to the the grounds.

Established in April 2017, Canberra Park is the largest and newest group accommodation property in the Canberra region. Canberra Park has been designed to specifically meet the needs of groups travelling to Canberra.

Several of our teams have stayed at Canberra Park in the last couple of years and reported very favourably. 

We will be announcing accommodation packages when entries open.
